Ancient Halicarnasus (Bodrum) and its monuments

 Visitors to Bodrum should start with the castle of Knights of John, which is great witness to amazing history of the castle. Thanks to efforts of Turkish and foreign scholars who carried out successful archeological digs both on land and at sea, the castle is turned into one of the greatest Underwater Archeology museums of the world. If you are interested in the ancient history, don't miss the site of ancient Mausoleum, which was considered as one of the seven wonders of the world. 

Also visit famous Myndos Gate, mentioned during the time of Alexander's Campaign and restored to its former glory in the recent times and attractive ancient theatre of Bodrum. Visitors are also recommended visit the Museum of Zeki Muren, Turkey's most famous singer of Turkish Music.
