Boat Trips in Bodrum
If you do not have time to enjoy a gulet
for few days, try one of the daily boat trip in Bodrum. This one day journey
will give you an idea about the Blue Voyage, world famous boat trips to
unspoiled south western coastline Turkey. Initiated by great intellectuals such
as Fishermen of Halicarnasus, Azra Erhat and Selahattin Eyupoglu, The blue
voyage became a well accepted way of daily trips. Daily Boat Trips are organized
by the Deniz Tasiyici Corporation (Bodrum Sea Carriers Organization).
Many charter companies doing these daily trips have stands on the main square
and along the coastline. You can rent boats for few hours, daily bases or longer
periods of time. You can also join one of the daily tours following a set
program. If you are planning to dive and join one the diving tours, organized by
some companies. The cost of renting a boat might be changed according to size of
the boat, the season you rent the boat and the program you choose.
Daily Boat
trips start 10:00 a.m. and end 05:00 pm. Price of the trip includes a lunch. But
it doesn't include the extra drinks. Normally a modest lunch is served. Main
course is mainly meatballs or fish, accompanied by spaghetti or salads or rice.
Do not expect a gourmet meal.
Warning: In the high season, these boats might be
crowded and noisy because of the loud music played on the boat. Since the sun is
very strong in Bodrum Region, bring a lot of suntan lotion, a towel and
additional swimming suits. Boat trips are arranged from every town on Bodrum
